Sentries Drop Second Straight in Charleston 26-14
In what many thought would be the Sentries return to the win column the team had the worst game in its short history dropping the first game of the Ohio River Cup 26-14. The Sentries never had control of this game as they were down 12-0 in the first half and didn't score until the third quarter when they made the score 19-7.
Coach Skip Foster commented, "We got down early and then we had a hard time following our game plan. Again we were trying to win a game with less points then we needed. This week we need to take a good hard look at our selves before this gets out of hand." After this the coach said that he was closing the locker room to the media. "This is a team that has high standards for itself and I'm sure the fans standards are higher than this as well."

Sentries fall in Home Opener 14-13
In a home opener that was to be a great celebration, the Sentries couldn't provide the fireworks. Coach Foster commented, "We're playing middle of the road football and when that happens you find your self at 500." During the game the Sentries defense held San Diego to zero points in the first half, but the offense could not take advantage.
"Whenever you put up 13 points you can expect to get beat." said Joe Germiane who finished 15 of 33 for 184 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception.
The Sentries only needed a single score down the stretch, "We had a decent second quarter but we definetly need more production out of our offense. We will need to look at our gameplan and get ready for next week." John Kaleo, the Sentries offensive coordinator said.
Near the end of the game LB Alan Parkman's frustration became visible as he slamed his helmet to the turf when the Sailors scored their final and winning touchdown.
The Sentries can hopefully use the week and bounceback against the 0-2 Charleston Chainsaws in the first game of the Ohio River Cup

Sentries Fall to Plasticmen 31-27 In Preseason
In the Sentries first ever game at Madison Square Garden they lost to the Providence Plasticmen 31-27.
"We are disappointed by the result. But in two weeks this game doesn't really matter anyway. We saw some things we can work on and that's why we wanted to play this game." commented Ohio coach Skip Foster.
A crowd of over 13,000 came for the game, a much higher number than either teams ownership really anticipated.
Both teams hope that the game will prepare them for the season. In two weeks the Sentries travel to California to play the Phantoms and the Plasticmen visit the Growlers.
